Welcome to the International Conference on Advancing the
Life Sciences and Public Health Awareness to be held December 20-21, 2017 at
the Hiroshima KKR Hotel in partnership with the 5th Asian Symposium on
Healthcare Without Borders (HWB 2017) and the 5th Conference on Human
Development in Asia (COHDA 2017).
ALPHA was also held this past summer in Hiroshima and preceded the 72nd
Hiroshima Peace Memorial Ceremony. Due to the inability of many participants to
attend in August due to the memorial and peak season travel, we are holding
ALPHA this December again in Hiroshima.
In addition to the symposium, participants will have an opportunity to enjoy a
free, guided tour in English of Hiroshima Peace Park, which is a UNESCO World
Heritage Site.
ALPHA 2017 is an excellent opportunity to advance research in the life sciences,
raise awareness of public health issues, improve health equity and to commend
the important work of researchers and health professionals around the world. In
fact, the American Nurses Association has declared 2017 to be the Year of the
Healthy Nurse.
With the theme of Keeping Up with Changing Times, ALPHA 2017 aims to raise
awareness of the correlation between the life sciences and public health
issues. In addition, the conference will focus as other disciplines such as the
IT field which is yielding groundbreaking discoveries from novel genes and
bio-products to cutting-edge nanotechnology, resulting in a transformed science
landscape with profound global applications in understanding life, eradicating
diseases, securing a more equitable food and water supply/distribution as well
as creating novel bio-industries and products.
We are offering a special early registration rate of only 23,500 JPY. We
welcome submissions of 250 words in English by Friday, November 17, 2017.
