Empowering the Next Generation of Clinicians, Scientists and Health Professionals For 3.5 days in sunny Lyon, our World Educational Congress will begin each morning and afternoon with Plenary Sessions that will provide a comprehensive overview of the phenomenology, pathophysiology, and current diagnostic and therapeutic strategies of each aspect of Parkinson disease and movement disorders. These will then be followed by various Parallel Tracks, that will allow all participants to select a more concentrated study of a particular diagnostic or therapeutic area. Each lecture within a Plenary Session or Parallel Track will be no longer than 25 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of questions and answers, to create a dynamic and interactive educational program for all delegates.
A highlight of the Congress will be the Grand Parade of Movement Disorders, an evening video session, where the most interesting and unusual presentations of various movement disorders from around the world are showcased by both faculty and attendees. Another highlight will be the Skills Workshops, which will include practical sessions on deep brain stimulation surgeries, pump technologies, botulinum toxin injection, but also demonstrations on how to examine a movement disorder patient!
The Congress will also offer: several Mentorship Sessions to allow young clinicians and scientists and opportunity to interact with and learn from accomplished senior faculty members; Oral Poster Sessions to allow all delegates a chance to share their research discoveries, interesting experiences and observations; and Sponsored Sessions to learn the latest areas of focus from our industry partners.
