The Meeting is organized by
The Hellenic Society of Rheology (HSR), in cooperation with the University of Cyprus and the Cyprus University of Technology.
Hellenic Society of Rheology (HSR)
The Hellenic Society of Rheology (HSR) was established in 1996 by
Greek rheologists residing in Greece, Cyprus and abroad. It is
affiliated with the European Society of Rheology (ESR) and dedicated to
the promotion of scientific activities and advancement in the fields of
rheology and fluid mechanics.
Scope of the Conference
The Meeting is open to all scientists and engineers conducting
research or interested in the field of rheology and in fluid mechanics.
The program will consist of 4 invited keynote lectures, oral and poster
contributions.

Topics
Special emphasis will be given to the following
fields of research:
wet systems: solutions, suspensions and granular matter
melts, composites and fracture
interfacial phenomena: films, emulsions,
surfactants and microfluidics
biologically relevant flows
liquid-solid transitions: yielding, vitrification and gelation
non-viscometric and turbulent flows
computational rheology, non-Newtonian fluid mechanics
Deadline
Prospective authors are invited to submit a short abstract
preferably by e-mail (max. 250 words), along with a preliminary
registration form, not later than January 31st, 2017. Notification of
acceptance will be mailed by March 1st, 2017.
Location
The Meeting will be held from Wednesday, July 12th, to Friday, July
14th 2017, at Curium Palace Hotel, Limassol, Cyprus. Limassol is easily
accessible from the Larnaca and Paphos International Airports.
Registration
The registration fee will be 180 Euros (80 Euros for students and
accompanying persons) before April 1st, 2017 and 230 Euros (110 Euros
for students and accompanying persons) afterwards. It will include
coffee breaks, the book of abstracts, the opening reception, and the
banquet.
Accommodation
Single and double rooms in the Conference venue and nearby hotels will be reserved for the meeting participants.
