The third International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies for Rail Transportation (EITRT2017) will be hosted by the Electrical Equipment Technology Committee for Rail Transportation of China Electrotechnical Society, Beijing Jiaotong University, the State Key Laboratory of Heavy Duty AC Drive Electric Locomotive Systems Integration, CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co., Ltd., etc in Changsha, Hunan, China during October 20-22, 2017. The aim objective of EITRT2017 is to provide a platform for researchers, academicians as well as industrial professionals from all over the world to present their research results and development activities in the fields of Electrical and Information Technologies related with Rail Transportation. The conference provides opportunities for the delegates to exchange new ideas and application experiences face to face, to establish research or business relations and to find global partners for future research collaboration. EITRT2013 and EITRT2015 which were held in Changchun and Zhuzhou respectively were all rated as the most excellent conferences by Chinese Ministry of education Academic Conference online.

All accepted papers in English will be published by Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering(LNEE,ISSN:1876-1100,EI Compendex source)of Springer-Verlag. High quality of papers accepted by EITRT2017 will be recommended for publication in international journals indexed by SCI.
All accepted papers in Chinese will be published in the Proceedings of EITRT2017 in Chinese, which will also be indexed by CNKI.Excellent papers will be recommended to the Journal of Electric Locomotives & Mass Transit Vehicles, the Journal of Electric Drive For Locomotives and the Journal of High Power Converter Technology.
