Yucatan Center for Scientific Research (CICY) and the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS) are pleased to announce the “V International Symposium on Papaya” to be held in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico, a city that is the gateway to the Mayan World.

As a Latin American country, Mexico is proud of the hospitality of its people. Merida is known as the “White City”, and is considered the cultural and tourist capital of the Mayan World. In addition, Merida is close to many delighting places, such as beautiful beaches of the Caribbean, small towns with colonial flavors, and the most important archeological sites of the Mayan culture: Chichén Itzá, Uxmal, Mayapán and Kabah.
The V International Symposium on Papaya is an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas and applications on this internationally important field.
