The NGA Industry Day is a collaborative annual effort that owes its enduring appeal to its hard-hitting focus and sustained leadership engagement. AFCEA and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) present NGA senior leaders who will speak with current and future industry partners directly—at the SECRET level—about NGA's goals, initiatives, challenges and business opportunities. The event offers a straight-from-the-top information exchange to enable industry to better:

  • Understand NGA’s needs, challenges and implementation plans
  • Identify partnering opportunities
  • Align R&D and IRAD investments with agency priorities
  • Anticipate business opportunities to include future Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Requests for Information (RFI)
NGA Director Robert Cardillo leads the day’s conversation with a look at NGA’s initiatives to build and sustain its activist mindset and operational framework within the geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) enterprise. NGA Deputy Director Sue Gordon will then link strategic requirements to resources and the current fiscal environment. The remainder of the day features action-oriented discussion of NGA plans and initiatives in foundational areas such as cloud migration, integration of commercial capabilities and the development of exquisite intelligence capabilities.
