This clinical workshop will have a specialized focus on understanding and treating trauma in early childhood. This class will give practicing therapists and other professionals working with young children an understanding of trauma presentation, treatment, and repercussions. Moreover, we will explore the developmental and relational damage that occurs with complex trauma. We will particularly focus on at-risk populations and the impacts and recovery from abuse, neglect and loss. Teaching modalities will include a mix of clinical discussion, lecture, readings, video and group exercises.
