Lakes, glaciers, babbling creeks, pristine woodland, snow-capped landscapes, and of course, the unmatched beauty of the mountains. Banff and Yoho National Parks offer more than we could ever possibly show you in a day, but we can't wait to show you some of the highlights and locations you have always dreamed of seeing.

Our day trip through the National Park is led by Kristin Repsher, a professional photographer based in southern Alberta. The workshop itinerary varies based on conditions; the main thing that doesn't change is how epic the landscapes are! Beginner or advanced, this tour will appeal to you. We'll take you to some of the world-famous viewpoints that you've seen on Instagram, like Moraine Lake and Peyto Lake, and through all of these locations, you'll receive individual photographic tuition on both the technical aspects of photography as well as the artistic side (including composition and lighting) to help you get the best possible shots of your trip to the Rockies.

This tour has a very early start so we can watch the sunrise over Moraine Lake -- there's no better way to start the morning! From there, we'll chase the best light through the park, and we'll finish it off around 4pm back in Banff.

This workshop is organised so you get to see each location in the best possible light. Lighting makes a huge difference in photography, so if a mountain's slopes are lit by the sun in the afternoon, we'll make sure to take you there at that time. We'll get the gorgeous light of sunrise and morning golden hour, but we won't be able to take you to every location in that short frame of time. However, our instruction will help you judge the best light if you're planning to do other photographic excursions within the park.
