Dr. Nur Sakinah Thomas
Faculty of Social Sciences and Liberal Arts, UCSI University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Dr. Nur Sakinah is an Assistant Professor in UCSI University and she handles undergraduate and postgraduate students who take courses related to English Language and Communication. She has been involved in the field of research and education since 1995 in various local and international institutions. She is a reviewer for International Journal of Education and Literacy Studies (IJELS) since 2017 and her research interest is on cognitive metaphorical analysis on religious discourse. Nur Sakinah is also a motivational speaker since 1995 and founder of Awdiah Murabbeen Resources. She has given talks to students and staff at schools, colleges, universities and humanity centers in many countries. She is a passionate lifelong student, researcher, educator and motivator. Currently, she is writing her first inspirational book entitled LIFE IS A SCHOOL where she shares insightful lessons learned through challenging situations in the school of life.
