The Fourth International Conference on Information Systems for Crisis
Response and Management in Mediterranean Countries (ISCRAM-med 2017)
aims to provide an outstanding opportunity and an international forum
for local and international researchers, practitioners and policy makers
to address and discuss new trends and challenges in the area of
Information Systems for Crisis Response and Management.
Attendees are invited to present recent research results in relation
to the conference topics. To discuss their experiences from case
studies and inform the community about the application of best
practices. In addition, demonstrations related to social, technical and
practical aspects of all information and communication systems used or
to be used in all phases of management of emergencies, disasters and
crises, are very much welcomed.
All paper submissions must make a new and significant contribution
to the body of knowledge on information systems and technologies for
emergency management, support their contribution with valid arguments,
and be clearly structured and well written.
PAPER CATEGORIES
ISCRAMMed2017 invites three categories of papers:
Full papers presenting valid, original, relevant cutting edge
research that will be reviewed to the highest academic standards.
Reviewing will pay additional attention to the application of the
related scientific literature and theory, to the use of an appropriate
research methodology, and to technical, mathematical and statistical
correctness (10-14 pages, LNCS format).
Short papers introducing cutting edge research in progress and
outstanding that do not have yet a comprehensive evaluation as full
papers but still suppose a contribution in the domain of information
systems and technologies for emergency management (6-7 pages, LNCS
format).
Demo papers presenting new developments in emergency management and
policy making, discussing approaches, methods, tools, (best) practices
and standards. These papers should focus on practical issues and
concerns and raise challenges for future research, and will be reviewed
to the highest practice-oriented standards (4 pages, LNCS format).
