Welcome to the 5th International Conference on Contemporary Marketing Issues (5th ICCMI 2017) that will be held in Thessaloniki, Greece on 21, 22 and 23 June 2017. Additionally, the organizing committee is excited to announce that there will be a Special Session in Chalkidiki (one of the top summer destinations in Europe) which will take place on 24, 25 June, 2017.
The 5th ICCMI aspires to build on the undoubtable success of the previous 4 ICCMIs which were held in 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2016. The central goal of the conference is to examine Contemporary Marketing Issues through various angles, stimulate dialogue and develop new perspectives in the field of Marketing within a globalized world.
The organizing committee would like to invite potential authors to submit papers/abstracts related, but not restricted, to the proposed topics, according to the dates of the Call For Papers. English is the official language of the Conference. The Advisory Scientific Board and the Scientific Committee of the Conference consist of distinguished academics from around the world. Publication opportunities in several distinguished scientific journals are available.
A double-blind review process will be employed to evaluate submitted manuscripts. All accepted papers will be presented at the Conference and will be included in the Conference proceedings, which are to be published by the 5th ICCMI 2017.
ICCMI is proud to announce that Professor TC Melewar, who is Professor of Marketing and Strategy and Head of the Department of Marketing, Branding and Tourism at Middlesex University, will be the Keynote Speaker at the Conference. Professor Melewar joined Middlesex in 2013 via De Montfort, Warwick, Brunel and Zurich (ZHAW). He has taught MBA and MIB programmes in France, Germany, Sweden, Russia, Georgia, Moldova, Malaysia and Indonesia. He has written five books on branding, corporate identity and international marketing. He was the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Brand Management and now the Editor Emeritus of the journal. TC has published over 100 refereed journal articles. He was recently made Honorary Fellow of the Academy of Marketing and Life Member (HFAM).
The Co-Chairs of ICCMI 2017 are happy to announce that Neil Towers will participate as an Invited Speaker in our Conference. Neil Towers is Professor in Retail Management / Marketing at the University of Gloucestershire and Editor of the International Journal of Retail and Distribution Management.
Furthermore, the organizing committee of ICCMI 2017 is very pleased to announce that Emmanuella Plakoyiannaki, who is Professor of International Business at Leeds University, will host a special workshop for PhD Candidates under the aegis of ICCMI 2017.
ICCMI 2017 is very excited to announce that a session in branding will take place during the Conference co-organized with the Greek Marketing Academy which is a keen supporter of ICCMI. The distinguished George J. Avlonitis, Chairman of the Greek Marketing Academy and recently retired Professor of Marketing at the Athens University of Economics and Business will chair this session.
