Do you work with trauma impacted kids or teens?
We have seen a dramatic shift to utilize Evidence Based Practice (EBP) when working with our clients. One modality of EBP is Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT).
During this training, you will learn the basic concepts of TFCBT, practical applications and you will walk away at the end with new strategies that you can apply to your work immediately. You will be shown free assessment measures and tools (accessible online). We will practice utilizing standardized measures so that you can better track client baseline and progress. We will discuss and practice ways to use books, workbooks, toys and tools to use to help in the didactic demonstration to make this a lively and fun class.
It is helpful if you have fundamental knowledge of CBT as well as experience utilizing basic concepts of CBT with clients. We will not be discussing basic theory. This workshop will focus on PRACTICE skills and practical application and what TFCBT may look like in your agency/office with your clients. The focus of this workshop is kids and teens.
