Lakes, glaciers, babbling creeks, pristine woodland, snow-capped landscapes, and of course, the unmatched beauty of the mountains. Waterton National Park offers more than we could ever possibly show you in a day, but we can't wait to show you some highlights while focusing on taking the best possible wildflower photos in an area that is home to more than half the species of wildflowers found in Alberta.
Our day trip through the National Park is led by Kristin Repsher, a professional photographer based in southern Alberta. The workshop itinerary varies based on the current location of wildflowers, so while we plan to take you to some of the iconic viewpoints, we won't have a set itinerary until the week leading up to the workshop. Through all of the locations on the workshop, you'll receive individual photographic tuition on both the technical aspects of photography as well as the artistic side (including composition and lighting) to help you get the best possible photos of the day. While we are focusing on wildflower photography for this workshop, other areas of photography (landscapes, etc) will be discussed as well.
The tour will start at 8.30am, and we'll eat a packed lunch on the road as we'll be well away from any cafes by lunchtime. We'll continue exploring and looking for flowers well into the afternoon, finishing around 5.30pm.
