The Cambridgeshire County Show is proudly celebrating its 18th year. The
Show has its roots in agriculture and the rural community. It is
organised each year by a volunteer Committee which includes supporters
and members of the Cambridgeshire Federation of Young Farmers Clubs.
Take a look at the main aims that really encompass the show:
- To create a traditional County Show
- To promote British Food and Farming
- To provide Cambridgeshire Young Farmers with a
display area for their annual competitions
- To create an enjoyable family day out where there is something for everyone.
The
Show has a number of things to see and do including traditional crafts,
livestock, rural crafts and displays, vintage tractors, fairground and
ring events plus much more.
There will be a wide variety of trade stands for the public to visit,
from agricultural dealers to garden furniture and country clothing.
There is also a large Food Hall which will be selling a variety of goodies, including many which feature
local products. Make sure not to miss the Craft Marquee where the stall
holders will provide visitors with a number of ideas for gifts and
other items, many of which are handmade.
The Show acts as an
opportunity for the members of Cambridgeshire Young Farmers to hold
their annual competitions day and you can see the results of their hard
work in the Young Farmers Marquee.
