A public celebration and review of the ‘Disabled Artists Making Dis/Ordinary Spaces’ project.

The ‘Disabled Artists making Dis/Ordinary Spaces’ project, funded by the Arts Council, has been prototyping creative and innovative ways to include disability ‘differently’ in architectural and interiors education.

Three collaborations between disabled artists and educators have now been completed at the University of Westminster, the CASS and Manchester School of Architecture. At the event you will hear about these activities and see the student work created. We would also like you to help us develop our understanding of the opportunities and challenges involved, and to discuss next stages.

This project grew out of Architecture Inside Out initiatives, led by disabled artists working with architectural professionals, educators and students from 2007–2010. It is one of a series of activities under the re-launched organisation The Dis/Ordinary Architecture Project.
