Description:This seminar focuses on the optimum use of EU funding for energy efficiency and renewable energy projects, in particular the possibilities available under the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Cohesion Fund (CF).
Looking ahead, by mobilising up to 177 billion euros of public and private investment per year from 2021, the ‘Clean Energy Package’ published on 30 November 2016, can generate up to a 1% increase in GDP over the next decade and create 900,000 new jobs. The package includes - among others- a proposal for a revised Renewable Energy Directive to make the EU a global leader in renewable energy and ensure that the target of at least 27% renewables is met by 2030. It also includes new and innovative energy efficiency measures, by which a new framework for improving energy efficiency in buildings; improving the energy performance of products (Eco-design); and informing consumers (energy labelling) is set. The proposed novelties into the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive will be covered as well.
Representatives of national energy authorities and representatives of Cohesion Policy Managing Authorities dealing with energy policy. It is open also to the private market and NGOs wishing to increase their understanding of the management of EU funds in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.
