Summary

Barry University Continuing Education Department is currently seeking SAT Instructors experienced in training students to succeed in the Verbal and Math Sections of the SAT Exam. The Instructors will be responsible for activities directly related to scheduled instruction, including: lecture, laboratory, performance and coaching assignments; preparation for instruction; and student assessment activities.

Essential Functions

We are currently seeking adjunct faculty to add to our roster of contract faculty for assignments in our training and professional development programs on an as-needed basis for the following programs:

  • SAT Prep Math
  • SAT Verbal

For the following locations:

  • Miami Shores

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Certification and/or degrees in appropriate subject matter area required. A Bachelor’s degree or above is required and professional and relevant experience in subject matter areas, as well as teaching experience preferred.
  • Must demonstrate ability to optimize student learning and create a positive classroom environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to engage, motivate, and lead students
  • Experience teaching standardized test prep is a plus
  • Minimum 1 year experience teaching youth is preferred
