The University of Central Florida (UCF) is dedicated to increase the prominence of its Civil, Environmental, and Construction Engineering (CECE) Department. Applications are invited for a tenure-track faculty position under the FUTURe CITy – Fostering Smart Urban Transformation and Ubiquitous Resilience with Connected Infrastructure and Technology – a Smart City initiative housed within the CECE Department. The FUTURe CITy initiative’s goal is to attract faculty who have a vision to synergistically explore wide-ranging technological advances towards better serving urban residents. The interdisciplinary research environment, access to rapid metropolitan economic and population growth, and nexus of world-class simulation, space technology and tourism industries co-located in the Central Florida metro region provide unique research opportunities to the potential faculty candidates.

This initiative will provide urban policy makers and planners a blueprint that can be used to optimally allocate limited resources while meeting sustainability and resilience goals and promoting social justice, equity, and fairness.
