A research associate is to work on project `Autonomous Navigation Using Advanced Localization & Obstacle Avoidance with Reconfigurable Sensors’ for 2 years. The successful applicant is required to address the following issues in autonomous navigation of ground robots

  • Ultrasound processing & Sensor signal fusion
  • Offline mapping
  • Landmark & object detection
  • User interface software development
  • Software integration & testing

Job requirement
Master in Eng degree in Robotics, Computer Science or Control;
Strong practical experience in robotics, especially in some of the following areas:
Sensor filtering and fusion
Simultaneous localization and mapping
Motion planning
Theoretical and practical knowledge of sensors used in robotics, including cameras (RGB and Depth), LIDARs, IMUs and Sonars
Experience designing and developing robotic systems using a robotic middleware (such as ROS), and existing libraries and tools.
