Our lab applies these approaches in both acute brain slices and awake, behaving animals. We are particularly interested in understanding the dynamic nature and mechanisms underlying layer six corticothalamic circuit activity. Recent publications include Cell Reports 2017, 21:3065; Neuron 2015, 86:768; Neuron 2013, 78:895; J. Neuroscience 2010, 30:15419.
