N2 Imaging Systems is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer who will be responsible for providing support to the manufacturing processes, including assembly, test, calibration, alignment, etc. The Manufacturing Engineer also provides support of N2 products in production, including activities such as troubleshooting and characterizing systemic failures, maintaining product documentation, and implementing manufacturability improvements. The successful Manufacturing Engineer will be a high-energy contributor who takes the initiative to ensure our manufactured parts are world class, and that our manufacturing processes are both effective and continuously improve efficiency.

Additional responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer include:

  • Develop and maintain product process documentation, such as product assembly procedures, product test/calibration/alignment procedures, assembly and test checklists, standard operating procedures, etc.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of the manufacturing line and equipment, such as specification and selection of basic test and assembly equipment, developing and implementing equipment maintenance and calibration procedures, repairing and maintaining assembly, burn-in and test equipment.
  • Develop fixtures and tooling to aid in the assembly and test of products.
  • Support implementation of practices and procedures to improve standard operations including ESD control, material flow and control, etc.
  • Develop and follow procedures, equipment, policies and practices to maintain a safe work environment at all times.
  • Review field and factory failures, to identify common failure modes and issues of a systemic nature. Characterize failures and resolve recurring problems through mistake-proofing.
  • Identify areas for improved product manufacturability, reduced product cost, or improved product reliability.
  • As needed, work with suppliers to correct problems or initiate improvements in accordance with manufacturability, cost and reliability improvement projects.
Qualifications
  • US Citizenship required
  • Previous experience in a both commercial and Aerospace and Defense manufacturing environment preferred
  • Must be analytical, observant, focused, and detail orientated.
  • Ability to interface with personnel throughout the Operations, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain organizations in an efficient and productive way, including both oral and written communications.
  • Use of Visio or other simple CAD tools to document high level block diagrams
  • Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
  • Familiarity with Engineering documentation standards, ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and specifications.
  • SAP experience a plus
Education

BA/BS degree w/2–5+ years experience
