IRI is seeking experienced consumer insights professionals, with minimum of 3 years of experience in analyzing and applying syndicated POS data in a CPG manufacturer or data supplier, for a client-training role. This role requires the ability to travel approximately 80-90%, based from a home office when not traveling. Candidates must be located within the US, with access to a major airport. Location within the US is flexible.

The Consultant of Solutions Training and Adoption is a training role uniquely positioned to enable the IRI vision of changing the way our world-leading Consumer Products Goods ( CPG) and top tier Food, Drug and Mass Merchant ( FDM) retailers use information to power their business. He/she will assist with the development and “own” the delivery of instructor-led training modules for a variety of CPG manufacturers.

He/she will be charged with assuring that our clients derive the most business impact possible from the Advantage solution and maximize the ROI of their technology spend. What are the responsibilities of a Training & Adoption Consultant?

Key responsibilities of this role includeEnhancing existing course curriculum and developing new, relevant content that can be sold and delivered in the marketplace.Creating courses about how to apply technology and data to answer business questions will be part of this role.Lead trainings, particularly those focused on using technology to maximize insights.Deliver engaging and impactful training programs to all levels within our client base calling on manufacturers and across multiple functions including; Sales, Marketing, Market Research, Shopper Insights and Category Management.Engage significantly with retailers. He/she will deliver to their clients training that will allow them to disseminate, visualize and press into information in ways not previously possible.Must also be a master of internal collaboration and coordination. Key points of internal interface include Client Insights, Client Service, Retail Client Solutions, the Strategic Solutions Group, the Consumer & Shopper Insights group, the Consulting & Innovation group and the broader Training group and overall Operations organization.While activities will vary, 85% of the candidate’s time will be allocated to client consultation on their business, training preparation and delivery.Of their remaining time, responsibilities will include cross-functional activities ( e.g. providing feedback on the system to product development and product management for the next generation of product release), sharing best practices and experiences with other team members, and self-development.

What are the qualifications?
Willingness to travel up to 80%—travel destination will vary; amount of travel will depend on the location of candidate’s residence. Location requirements are flexible.Several years of work experience with strong CPG or retail domain expertise. The Consultant must have prior training experience.Understanding of POS and retailer specific data is required.The ability to synthesize data into insights is critical.Domain experience may come via one or more of the following areas: Market research provider; CPG manufacturer; Retailer; Software; Top tier consulting companyProven capacity to quickly grasp, assimilate and convey analytical and software-related conceptsExpertise in MS PowerPoint and ExcelAnalytical approach to problem solvingDisciplined yet pragmatic approach to project management/project deliveryCreativity; proven ability to convey technical subject matter to non technical or skeptical audiences in an engaging and impactful manner/method; personality to “light up the room”A flexible approach to communication; able to adapt their message quickly to the appropriate level or function with poise and polishBusiness savvy to connect training to a client’s broader business objectivesBachelor's degree required.
