Summary:
Under the direction of the Marketing and Events
Coordinator, the Marketing Assistant will assist and play an active role in the
Career Development Center’s (CDC) marketing/events team. In this role they will
create engaging content for the department social media presence, including
keeping social media platforms updated and brand-focused, and seeking out new
ways of marketing department resources. Assists in organizing print/digital
campaigns and developing marketing strategies. Assists with the preparation and
execution of events. Keeps calendar of events updated on department websites.
Assists in the organizing of promotional events and traditional or digital
campaigns and attend them to facilitate their success.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma with minimum 2 years directly
related work experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Skills in creativity,
communication, analytical thinking, technology, writing skills,
proofreading, campaign & content creation, digital & print
marketing, social media trends.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office,
marketing computer software and online applications (CRM tools, online
analytics).
- Excellent communication, writing,
editing, and people skills.
- Skills in maintaining department
social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter,
and other relevant platforms.
- Ability to creates dynamic content
that promotes audience interaction and encourages audience participation.
- Ability to works as part of a team
to develop large social media campaigns.
- Skills in analyzing and reporting
audience information and demographics, and success of existing social
media projects.
- Ability to propose new ideas and
concepts for social media content.
- Ability to be collaborative and
work with marketing and social media team members to coordinate ad
campaigns with social media strategy.
- Skills in social media
communications.
- Good understanding of day to day
office etiquette.
- Demonstrable ability to multi-task
and adhere to deadlines.
Pay Range:
$10-12 p/hour DOE
