Job DescriptionThe Project Manager / Scrum Master will lead all aspects of information technology projects including project planning, execution, timely delivery, functionality, quality, issue tracking, and communication. Applies Agile and occasional Waterfall PM Methodologies and systems development lifecycle processes to information technology projects from the original concept through the final implementation. Ensures that projects are aligned with SDLC standards and IT strategies. Coordinates the activities of the project team. As Project Manager, you will have ownership over a specific area of projects, activities and deliverables. As Scrum Master, you will lead by facilitation on a Scrum team using all the standard Scrum and Scaled Agile Framework methodologies.
- Accountable to the PMO, business owner and project stakeholders for project delivery.
- For project teams utilizing the Scrum Process, manage a daily Scrum meeting and use tracking tools to provide status and progress.
- Primary point of contact for project communications.
- Responsible for determining the required staffing for project and requesting the project resources..
- Manages the scope of the project to ensure that schedules are met.
- Creates the project plan, software development schedule, including points and projected burn rates, and maintains the information throughout the life of the project.
- Creates, in conjunction with the client, the initial project planning documentation, including assumptions/constraints, measures of success, quality measures, risk, mitigation plans, issues, dependencies, schedules and change control strategy.
- Enforces the priorities of the work to be performed. Priority determined by the product owner via the business owner and project stakeholders.
- Reports the project’s progress, risks, issues to management, the Business Owner, and project stakeholders.
- Obtains product manager and client sign-off on key project deliverables.
- Conducts project team status meetings as necessary for the project.
- Tracks risks, risk mitigation, known issues, change requests and change impact in a written format, and works to resolve all blockers to the project completion.
- Conducts the post project review/lessons learned discussion.
- Drafts and compiles project archives.
- Drafts process improvement plan based on lessons learned and retrospective documentation. Implements approved plans.
- Adds project documentation to the repository for use in other projects.
- Works with product manager and executive stakeholders to prioritize projects
QualificationsRequirements:- Must possess ability to influence others in meeting project deadlines
- 2+ years, agile/scrum project management experience
- Well-developed problem-solving and creative thinking skills
- Ability to attend to details and focus on project objectives while managing aggressive timelines.
- Ability to motivate and influence others and provide clear expectations.
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Works well independently and collaboratively.
- Able to multi-task and resolve issues quickly.
- Demonstrates leadership and provides mentoring to other team members.
Preferred Experience- PMP, CSM certification preferred.
- Experience in digital media preferred.
- Mobile, content or audience related work is preferred. Word Press experience is a plus.
