ResponsibilitiesAs part of the Product Engineering group key responsibilities will include
As a Development Engineer you will work on all stages from concept, design, verification to manufacture, and you will play a key part in the design & development of a highly technical consumable microfluidic device. This role will require you to be creative in a time challenging environment.
- Generate design concepts and create test coupons at feasibility.
- Designing mechanical, electronic and electrical systems, and cartridge product solutions.
- Design systems, components and processes that meet product development requirements.
- Manufacture parts for testing ideas.
- Evaluate final products and prepare reports and documentation.
To be considered for this position you must be educated to a minimum of BSc/MSc level in a related subject. This academic background will be coupled with strong experience of developing medical devices or in-vitro diagnostic devices in an ISO 13485 environment. You must have proven experience of mechanical engineering for microfluidics and the ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience within molecular biology. Experience with 2D or 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools is essential (AutoCAD, SolidWorks etc)
