Our smart access-as-a-service solution KIWI allows users to unlock doors completely hands-free with our identity token KIWI Ki or by using our KIWI App. Our customers from the real estate industry use the KIWI Portal to simplify key management. And service providers like Deutsche Post and waste management companies open the doors of apartment buildings with KIWI. More than 47.000 households in 15 cities are already connected to the KIWI Infrastructure.
Our development team is an interdisciplinary mix, covering the full range from hardware and firmware development through systems, web, and mobile. Our highest priority is safeguarding the privacy and security of our users. We believe that it’s possible to have a connected system without gathering huge amounts of information on the private lives of our customers. As a result, we have developed our whole system almost entirely in-house, using cutting-edge cryptography, an innovative wireless sensor network, and an open-source approach.
YOUR ROLE
- Lead our software team in developing all aspects of our KIWI Entry System (Backend, Frontend, DevOps)
- Create and drive the technical vision and roadmap in alignment with KIWI’s vision and strategy
- Define KIWI’s system architecture and ensure it is scalable and optimized
- Organize and structure our engineering work, execute important projects and make sure deadlines are met
- Build a high performance engineering culture and drive our team to achieve exceptional results
- Enhance and live our agile development process and ensure a collaborative cooperation of our engineering team with product, operations and sales
- Oversight of deployment and selection of new and existing technologies to meet the current and future needs of the business
- You work very closely with our hardware and embedded team to develop an outstanding KIWI experience
YOUR SKILLS
- Excellent communication skills and a self-motivated, structured and process oriented personality
- Broad experience in managing diverse and cross functional engineering teams
- Expertise in building highly talented teams
- Extensive experience in SaaS with microservices, RESTful APIs and continuous integration
- Expertise in defining and applying agile development processes
