JOB PURPOSE
The Research Institute of Sciences and Engineering (RISE) is seeking to hire a post-doc in open source development for AI, data analytics and security applications. Selected candidate(s) will collaborate with the members of research groups (within the Dept. of Electrical, Computer Engineering and the Dept. of Computer Science) on research in open source development for AI, data analytics and security applications. Duties will include performing literature surveys, algorithm design, implementation and testing, writing progress reports and research articles to be publishable in a highly prestigious indexed journals and conference proceedings.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES & EXPECTATIONS ​
· Performing literature surveys in the focus areas of the use of open source in
i. Cyber Security
ii. Blockchain.
iii. Big Data
· Defining research problems, and solution methodologies.
· Algorithm designs.
· Writing research articles for journals and conferences.
· Collaborate with research group members on research projects.
· Assume responsibility of the maintenance and smooth running of the research group's technical (hardware and software) equipment.
· Follow all University policies regulations for safe working procedures

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
1. Minimum Ph.D. degree in the area of Computer Engineering/Computer Science.
2. Solid programming skills.
3. Knowledge in communications and networks.
4. Knowledge in cyber security and Big Data.
5. Excellent command of spoken and written English language.
6. Strong publication record relevant to one or more of the aforementioned research areas.

1. Prior scholarly publications and research experience is a plus.

4. Excellent communication skills.
5. Fluent in English language​
