Serve as MIDS Cryptographic Modernization Engineer providing expertise with Tactical Data Link / Advanced Tactical Data Link (TDL/ATDL) program execution, acquisition, and operational support for engineering and operational support for requirements analysis; systems engineering; acquisition engineering; software engineering; system level hardware and software integration; cryptographic modernization engineering; functional assessment; development assessment; testing; analysis; system validation; experimentation; process planning; risk management; specification development and review; system level architecture studies; and system interoperability of TDL and ATDL systems.
Specific Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To- Provide Systems Engineering expertise and experience with Advanced Tactical Data Links (ATDLs) and Tactical Software Define Radio (SDR) Systems to include the Multifunctional Information Distribution System Joint Tactical Radio System (MIDS JTRS) with awareness of Program objectives and those of the DoD operational user community and SDR Systems Engineering.
- Provide in-depth knowledge of and experience with the MIDS JTRS Cryptographic Modernization Program to include National Security Agency requirements for Tactical Communication Systems with expertise in Communications Security (COMSEC) and Cryptologic Material Systems (CMS).
- Expertise supporting U.S and Foreign Military Tactical HDR and SDR Systems for training and technical data calls in relation to cryptographic subsystems on the MIDS family of TDL Systems.
- Perform engineering and support of the MIDS Cryptographic Modernization (CM) efforts for Link-16 Tactical Communications systems or other similar TDL communications systems.
- Knowledge of MIDS systems engineering practices/processes.
- Provide Engineering experience in DoD tactical systems acquisition environment to include subject matter expertise in acquisition programmatic and milestone decision requirements; and Systems Engineering experience with TDLs, ATDLs, and Tactical SDR Systems.
- Perform engineering and support of the MIDS Cryptographic Modernization (CM) efforts for Link-16 Tactical Communications systems or other similar TDL communications systems.
Must Have Experience In The Following Areas- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics with a minimum of 5 years technical experience engineering and support of the MIDS Cryptographic Modernization (CM) efforts for Link-16 Tactical Communications systems or other similar TDL communications systems.
- Current technical experience (within the last 5 years) in tactical communication systems to include TDL, ATDL, SDRs, and/or related C4I systems at the systems level.
- Experience includes in-depth knowledge of and experience with the MIDS JTRS Cryptographic Modernization Program to include National Security Agency requirements for Tactical Communication Systems with expertise in Communications Security (COMSEC) and Cryptologic Material Systems (CMS).
- Experience also includes in-depth experience in supporting U.S and Foreign Military Tactical HDR and SDR Systems for training and technical data calls in relation to cryptographic subsystems on the MIDS family of TDL Systems.
- US Secret Clearance is required.
