Required Skills
- Associates Degree in related preferred, not required
- Proficient using Lotus Notes and MS Excel
- Must have experience with cooling fans, voltage testing and other electromechanical components
- DC or brushless motor experience a plus
- Environmental / NVH testing experience required
Job Description
- Fabricate prototype automotive electric engine cooling fan modules to print specifications
- Communicate with engineering and conduct destructive and non-destructive tests per customer specifications
- Design, build, and set up test stands
- Monitor multiple tests ranging from a few minutes to several months
- Record data, compile test reports, and write test procedures to ensure repeatability in Lotus Notes / MS Excel
- Instrument vehicles with thermocouples, shunts, voltage sensing, install portable data recorders, and perform road tests for benchmarking
- Complete airflow performance tests on fan assemblies and measures airflow restriction of heat exchangers
