Millennium is seeking an individual to join the Market Data Technology team with focus on the provision of market data and management of associated technologies. The Market Data Technology group’s responsibilities cover all aspects of the delivery of Market Data in addition to proactive interaction with end-users to achieve the best quality of service and to provide expert support and data mastery.
The remit of this role is to work as a point of contact for business functions, lead data acquisition, troubleshooting and provisioning activities, as well as work with vendors to deliver expected quality of data and services.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Liaison with portfolio managers/trading groups and direct support of their business needs/requirements for market data
- Create & maintain strong working relationships with other members of the delivery team and the wider technology organization so that the overall function operates professionally and is seen as delivery focused
- Track deliverables for the portfolio management teams, prioritize them with input from stakeholders, and execute on their delivery
- Liaise with data providers on technical issues and work with them to resolution
- Work independently and/or within a team as the work requires. Participate in team activities and team planning with the aim of improving team skills, awareness and quality of work
Required Skills:
- At least 5 years of experience in market data content and data
- Excellent knowledge of market data and index services
- Expertise with market data delivery, provisioning and consumption
- Ability to understand business requirements and provide creative solutions that work within the technical boundaries
- Good interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Candidate must have:
- Excellent knowledge of the securities industry across multiple asset classes with high emphasis on Commodities
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to clearly communicate and share solutions with fellow team members
- Technical skills associated with operational management of data gathering
- Great attention to detail and organization
- Candidate is expected to provide support for systems including analysis, tracking and resolution
- Able to organize their own time, schedule tasks for completion and deliver work to that schedule
