Position Summary
Lyman Briggs College is seeking excellent candidates for the position of Alumni and Donor Relations Coordinator. This position devises and implements alumni programming and is accountable for alumni special events including supervising alumni and student volunteers. Management of events, discovering new opportunities to create relationships with alumni and donors, furthering engagement of alumni, including volunteer management and communication. This position will liaison with the University Alumni Office to further the mission of Lyman Briggs and coordinate engagement of all Briggs Alumni, to create a culture of lifelong connection that spans the student continuum and is sustained into the early alumni years for uninterrupted engagement. Leverage the power of the Briggs alumni base by creating a culture of volunteerism that will inspire, engage, and connect alumni to the university and to each other.
Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in a related field; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in the planning and production of institutional and/or fundraising events; contractor and vendor contract negotiations, and developing event budget reports; experience in a customer-service environment; and experience in database, spreadsheet, word processing and presentation software; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
