The Department of Mathematical Sciences of Stevens Institute of Technology invites applications for a tenure-track position to start in Fall 2017. Appointments at all levels will be considered.
This position is focused in the area of stochastic models, broadly defined, and candidates are required to have a Ph.D. in mathematics, statistics, or a related field. Candidates should show evidence of or potential for developing an active research program, publishing in premier journals, and obtaining external funding. Candidates must have some experience teaching and evidence of potential for providing quality teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The level of appointment will be commensurate with a candidate’s qualifications and experience.
The application package must include a letter of application articulating the candidate’s fit to the position description, a curriculum vitae including a list of publications, and personal statements on research and teaching. The candidate must arrange for at least three reference letters to be provided. The letters should address the candidate’s experience and potential with respect to both research and teaching.
