Job Description

PE licensed mechanical engineer to support and lead building and facilities projects. Responsible for systems design, equipment schedules and specifications at industrial, pharmaceutical and commercial plants. Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and individually on wide variety of projects.

Typical Duties:
• Prepare engineering studies and schematic design for new central utilities systems.
• Field survey existing mechanical systems and equipment.
• Specify ductwork, piping, valves, insulation and support requirements.
• Develop construction demolition and new work drawings complete with sheet notes and specifications.
• Work with code officials and other design professionals when an interpretation or exception to building codes is required.

Education/Experience:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience.
• PE preferred.
• Familiar with the current ASME Codes, International Building Codes and NFPA.
• Familiar with various software suites such as MS Word, Excel, Access, MS Project, AutoCAD and Revit.
• Experience with pharmaceutical, such as chemical, varied power plant facility and production systems or manufacturing.
