Job Description:
The Department of Sociology, Egyptology and Anthropology (SEA) at the American University in Cairo (AUC) is seeking to recruit adjunct faculty members in the field of anthropology to teach courses starting in the spring semester of 2020. The Anthropology unit is seeking to recruit a versatile candidate with a demonstrable background in the field of cultural anthropology to broaden the scope of our course offerings. Candidates with the knowledge and ability to teach undergraduate courses in urban, political and psychological anthropology are particularly encouraged to apply, as are those able to teach the anthropology of film and courses like 'Arab Society'.
Requirements:
Current PhD candidates and those holding an MA in anthropology are eligible to apply but preference will be given to PhD holders and those who have a demonstrated track record in teaching.
