Job Description:
This position will be working with Public Health and Social Work faculty to coordinate programs concerning dementia and dementia caregiving to members of the African American community in the city of Syracuse.
The program coordinator provides information and referral services to program participants, performs public outreach activities throughout the South Side and South West neighborhoods of Syracuse, and assists the project director and project evaluator with a variety of administrative and programmatic tasks. Applicants must have their own transportation and be able to work some Saturday mornings, evenings and weekends.

Knowledge of and experience with client engagement strategies.
Ability to coordinate and collaborate with community partners; including referral processes.
Understanding of confidentiality and privacy standards.
Organization and time management skills.
Ability to multi-task and work independently
Computer Literacy (experience with Microsoft applications)
Job Specific Qualifications:
Candidate must have a minimum of an undergraduate degree in social work or public health. A graduate degree or presently working toward a graduate degree is preferred.
