SUMMARY

Precision Dynamics Corporation (PDC) is looking for a Graphic Designer to support the creative team in developing the overall visual appearance of all marketing communications materials, while maintaining consistency with established brand guidelines. In this role, the Graphic Designer is responsible for the creation of graphics, collateral, campaigns, and advertising for patient and product ID solutions in the Healthcare and Leisure and Entertainment verticals. He/She will support development of the design, production, and printing of collateral materials for offline and online channels, including brochures, direct mail, trade shows, emails, landing pages, online banners and web design.

The ideal candidate must have a strong conceptual and visual design background pertaining to typography, color theory, illustration, layout, photography, videography, and video editing. Additionally, experience working with rapid design concepting, tight delivery times and adhering to a formal design style guide is essential. The successful candidate must provide links to an inspiring portfolio. Agency experience is a plus.

The Graphic Designer will be part of the Marketing Communications team and will report to the Creative Manager.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Translate business and marketing objectives into designs that are clear, compelling, visually exciting, easy-to-use, and emotionally engaging.

• Produce design specifications, storyboards, motion-based prototypes, scenarios and design prototypes.

• Establish creative standards, style guides, color palettes and templates. Must understand how to design and adhere to standards.

• Assist the digital team by creating compelling digital graphics and online banner advertising for PDC websites, landing pages, email campaigns, Facebook and other social application design.

• Initiate concepts and work independently, knowing when to collaborate with senior design team.

• Explore various design solutions, and present multiple solutions per project with guidance from stakeholders.

• Collaborate with key internal teams, including MarComm, Digital, Product Management, Customer Service, etc.

• Continually elevate the visual presentation of company collateral and communications through fresh ideas and creative thinking.

• Work with print vendors to prepare and send pre-press artwork, obtain proofs, and assist Creative Manager to oversee quality of printed materials.

• Attend seminars, continuing education courses, and review design publications to enhance skills and knowledge.

• Be able to design a wide variety of graphics -- anything from infographics to text-based graphics, photo-treatments and beyond.

• Incorporate design direction and feedback from multiple departments and stakeholders.

• Help maintain our extensive digital asset library of branded resource art, photography and templates, enabling the team to self-serve, share and collaborate with each other.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Art, Communications or related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of graphics training/courses and demonstrated proficiency in design is required.

• Experience in web design with links to an online portfolio or relevant examples of work.

• Possess advanced knowledge in the Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).

• Self-motivated, results-driven and goal-oriented.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

• Flexible and able to embrace change.

• Demonstrate proven typography skills including excellent command of color and composition.

• Must have exceptional visual design & layout, creative thinking, and project management skills.

• Able to tell a story visually and have proven success in creative execution across all forms of media, video and digital and mass media (digital, print, large format, experiential, etc.)

• Experience with photo and video editing a plus.

• Broad technical knowledge of the entire creative, production and export process.

• Must be able to manage multiple projects at the same time while remaining flexible through multiple revisions and keeping keen attention to detail. Works well under tight timeframes, quick turn-around and flexible incorporating many edits at deadline.

• Familiarity with digital asset management systems and project management software Experience organizing collections of images and artwork or project files for shared access by other users.
