We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with product development experience for medium to high volume sensors and actuators (Crank/Cam, Speed and EGR Position Sensors, Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valves, Idle Air Control Actuators, etc) to join our team.
Responsibilities will include:
- Establishing conceptual process layouts with equipment/tooling requirements
- Working with Design Engineer to reduce tooling, equipment and product costs
- Establishing critical path timing plans from project approval to release to production
- Sourcing/selecting vendors for tooling and equipment
- Debugging equipment prior to pilot production
- Providing gages, equipment and procedures for inspection/test of components, subassemblies and final assemblies
- Establishing tooling/equipment specifications
- Providing factory reps with equipment documentation
- Training staff in operation of production equipment
- Resolving assembly problems
- Providing technical support to internal/external groups
- Handling other related functions as necessary
