DESCRIPTION
The Marketing Project Portfolio Management team in Outreach and Online Education Marketing is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead high priority marketing projects and strategic, complex World Campus projects. Primary responsibility includes leading cross-functional projects according to industry best practices. Candidates should have a proven record of working well in a team, being self-motivated and innovative, and having excellent people and communications skills. This hire will also play a critical role in researching, designing, documenting, implementing, and modeling project management processes to be introduced across the department. This may include participation in the selection, configuration, and implementation of supporting solutions. Candidates will have demonstrated a passion for designing processes that reduce friction and waste and understand how to manage change. This position will report directly to the marketing project portfolio manager and will work with the project portfolio management team in developing and continuously improving processes and practices. This job will be filled as a level 2, or level 3, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. At least two years of project management experience is preferred. Industry certifications such as the PMP certification are preferred. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
