We are seeking a Software Engineer that performs full lifecycle software development for DoD programs. A successful candidate will possess the ability to collaborate with Systems Engineering to evaluate software requirements and then perform software design, coding, and testing using the C programming language. Additionally a successful candidate will possess the ability to perform numerous system administration tasks.
Qualifications
This position requires the following technical skills:
• A multi-discipline engineer with at least 10 years of system administration experience in UNIX/Linux systems to include kickstart installation, maintenance, and backups
• Some system administration experience in Windows systems and Solaris systems
• Experience in UNIX script development to include bash, sh, csh, Python (optional), Perl (optional), and sed/awk (optional)
• Experience in C software language development
• Experience in Samba Server installation and maintenance
• Experience in LDAP authentication protocols with Active Directory
• Experience in RAID system administration to include NetApp RAID scripting
• Experience in Remote Processor Environment (RPE) software installation and maintenance
• Experience in Data archival management (automated backup systems)
• Experience in Webserver installation/setup/maintenance to include Apache Tomcat server administration
• Experience in networking multiple LANs with limited interconnectivity
• Experience in the following is optional but nice to have: 1) Wiki installation/setup/ maintenance, 2) Database installation/setup/maintenance for mysql and postGres databases, 3) Configuration management/revision control installation/setup/maintenanceThe job requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field: Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics, and a minimum of 10 years of applicable experience.
