Job Profile Summary
The Network Engineer is responsible for supporting the architecture, design and development of the Wide Area Network (WAN) or Local Area Network (LAN) systems, including Extranet, Intranet and Internet infrastructure. Majority of activities will be performed with the assistance and guidance of senior level engineers. Strong written and verbal communication, as well as a desire to learn and grow are a must.
Essential Functions
Develop technical run docs and troubleshooting guides for multiple technologies
Perform shipping and receiving tasks related to ongoing projects
Assist with the configuration of network equipment as needed
Generate reports and collect data to support ongoing initiatives
Perform steps necessary in configuring and deploying wireless access points
Provides technical expertise to both internal and external customers.
Oversees the purchase, installation, and support of network communications, including LAN/WAN systems.
Analyzes local and wide area network systems, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication.
Resolves interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms including e-mail, files transfer multimedia, teleconferencing and the like.
Configures systems to user environments.

Knowledge and Skills/Technology Used
IP Routing and Switching (Preferred Cisco knowledge)
Basic knowledge of Wireless Networking
Basic knowledge of VoIP Communication
Application and network troubleshooting experience
Proficient in use of network diagram tools, such as VISIO.
Typical Education
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Typical Range of Experience
Typically 0-2 years of Network specific experience
License or Certification
CCENT, CCNA, CCNP preferred
ITIL Foundation (info Tech Infrastructure Library) V2 &V3 desired
