Job Description:
The Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University seeks a part-time instructor to teach one open section of Sociology 102 – Social Problems – Fall ’19, (3 credits).
Course Description: This course focuses on the application of sociological theory and methods to identification, description, and analysis of contemporary social problems. Critique and analysis of alternative strategies for social change.
Qualifications:
A minimum of an MA in Sociology or a closely related discipline. Preference will be given to ABD and PhD level candidates from our program and others who have previously taught for us.
Job Specific Qualifications:
Evidence of effective teaching is required.
