8:30am -5:00pm (academic year)
8:00am – 4:30pm (summer)

Job Description:
The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for the reconciliation of various general ledger accounts and review and approve of various reconciliations.The individual will review and approval expense documents, financial data analysis, problem research and resolution. This individual will make independent decisions and judgement when approving reconciliations and expense reports. This position involves interaction with various University departments and will be expected to represent the unit in a professional manner. In the absence of the Department Director, this position will provide backup for that role. Supervise the coordinators day-to-day responsibilities.
Qualifications:
• A four year degree in business or accounting is preferred.
• Candidates should have five or more years of experience in accounting.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Strong consideration will be given to candidates possessing experience with PeopleSoft and restricted accounting.
Job Specific Qualifications:
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office products.
• Excellent organizational and communication (oral and written) skills.
• Prior experience with restricted accounting.
• A solid understanding of net asset classifications of unrestricted, temporary and perm restrictions.
