Your Responsibilities

As an Environmental Engineer, for John Deere, you will be responsible for environmental issues related to projects or environmental program areas in a large or very large factory under the close supervision of a more senior environmental professional. You will perform structured assignments that require analysis and interpretation of data and regulations to determine potential problems and recommended action.

In addition, you will:

  • Communicate results of analysis and interpretations to appropriate work groups for awareness and any required remedial action.
  • Utilize acquired knowledge to respond to questions or requests for information relevant to environmental issues from work groups inside and/or outside the company.
  • Conduct analysis of test or lab results to determine potential problems to the environment.
  • Compile data, documentation, and correspondence to comply with environmental regulations and Environmental Management System (EMS) requirements.
  • Respond to emergency situations that could occur inside or outside of standard working hours.

What Skills You Need

  • Proficient with standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office, intranet and internet functions.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of manufacturing processes and factory operations.
  • Experience in Environmental Profession in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in a manufacturing operation, manufacturing engineering, or industrial engineering environment.
