Title: Manager of Network Engineering

Location: Las Vegas, NV

Phoenix Staff is known for connecting highly qualified candidates with highly desirable jobs. We’re currently looking to place a Manager of Network Engineering. Responsible for ensuring the stability and integrity of in-house voice, data, and video and wireless network services.

Your role:

  • Plan, design, and develop local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across the organization
  • Participate with the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links
  • Personally, and through delegated authorities, analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training where required
  • Handle personnel-related matters for assigned staff members including interviewing, hiring, scheduling, training, coaching, evaluating, counseling, and discharging
  • Prepare and maintain appropriate documentation for systems installations, maintenance, testing, upgrades, and events
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures for network engineering operations
  • Make recommendations to management relative to network engineering needs and best practices
  • Keep management informed about status of projects and issues

What you’ve got:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in a computer science discipline or a comparable level of experience preferred
  • Five (5) years of experience in a similar position in networking preferred
  • Prior experience in project management preferred
  • Prior experience with VoIP strongly preferred
  • ITIL V3 Foundation or MOF V4 certification
  • CCNA certifications preferred
  • Must have strong organizational, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
  • Must have strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses
