The Environmental Science Center (ESC), Qatar University, is the oldest research institute in the country, hosting a team of international scholars conducting research and providing services in marine and environmental sciences and equipped with cutting-edge technologies including state-of-the art research vessel (Janan). The Center is looking for active air quality specialist to join his team who likes to work in the field and enjoy sharing knowledge and expertise with other colleagues working on the different components of the natural system of Qatar and the region.
Duties & Responsibilities-Operate and maintain the scientific photographiclaboratory of the Center
- Document, edit and compile all the scientificresearch and services of the center on film or video as required
- Record and archive all the public activities of thecenter
- Join the field trips on land and sea with the centerresearch teams when needed
- Provide professional photographic or video contentsof the research and service activities of the center when needed
- Maintain, edit and refine the photographic and videodatabase of the center
- Procure and store all the photographic equipment and materials
- Demonstrates continuous effort to improveoperations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, andwork cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
- Organize workshops in photography to other employeesif needed
- Maintain confidentiality of information always
- Perform other tasks as necessary
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years’ experience inprofessional photography
- Working experience with Adobe products (photoshop,Lightroom, InDesign)
- Experience is diving will be a welcomed asset
