So what does a Civil Engineer at Michael Baker International do?

As a part of our Civil Engineering team, the Civil Engineer will assist Project Engineers with tasks appropriate for a junior engineer, including data review, site review, field documentation, data collection, data organization, data analysis, civil engineering planning and design.

Can you walk me through a typical day of a Civil Engineer?

  • The majority of your day would be spent on a team performing various tasks- reviewing design plans, to reviewing permit applications, performing field inspections, preparing plans, specifications and estimates and performing data collection and field work.
  • You will work with Project Engineers and Managers who will guide you in the development of deliverables.
