The Role
The Marketing Team operates as a central hub, collaborating with colleagues across a wide array of functions: Art Specialists, Business Managers, Specialist department contacts, Design, Digital, Client Insights, CRM, Editorial/Content, Press, Social Media and other key stakeholders. The function of the Marketing Coordinator is to support the Marketing Management Team in the project management and execution of regional and global, multi-channel marketing campaigns for live auctions, e-commerce sales, private sales, exhibitions, events and special projects. The Marketing Coordinator will assist the Marketing Management Team as it shepherds a campaign from inception to completion. Sale marketing campaigns will include the planning of paid media, website promotion, content marketing, CRM, social and promotions all of which must drive buying, bidding and registrations for related sales. They will provide weekly updates on project status. Contribute to improvements to internal process mapping for ideal Marketing team performance
Specific duties & responsibilities will include but are not limited to
- Support team of Marketing Managers from an administrative perspective
- Ability to work collaboratively and with integrity; embody a corporate standard of active, capable and professional engagement with assigned role
- Gather, organize and proof assets for all campaign and sales promotion, consignment gathering, brand efforts and evergreen content campaigns including: advertising (print + digital), email, web, video, social media, signage and direct mail pieces
- Propose timelines, track progress, flag delays and problem solve to ensure timely delivery
- Solicit feedback on marketing materials and work with Editorial, Design and Production teams to implement
- Help to maintain detailed records of marketing activity and budget tracking
- Ensure non-catalogue marketing copyright is cleared and fees are processed as required.
- Assist with copyright approvals on marketing materials (as needed)
- Administration in support of the production process: FileMaker set-up of jobs and timings, shared-drive set-up of folders, assembling assets (searching for image barcodes on DAM and downloading), picture research, organizing files for copy, cataloguing, checking status of brief; chase to ensure deadlines are met on timings with supply of proofs, mark-up of amends, final approval and delivery
- Generate CID codes to track digital activity and log performance reports
- Assist with tracking 'data dashboard' items to calibrate Marketing performance
- Coordinate details with external media buying agency and a variety of publications to research and book advertisements (as assigned)
- Liaise with outside vendors including printers and mail-houses (or work with Christie's Production and Creative teams to fulfill this need, as is appropriate)
The Candidate- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 2- 3 years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; PC-literate
- Display working knowledge of print production, media planning and social media
- Ability to learn workflow and budget programs (example: Filemaker)
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a larger team
- Excels in a fast-paced environment & able to quickly adapt to change
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal, presentation and client service skills
- Ability to proactively anticipate hurdles and propose solutions
- Detail oriented multi-tasker who is able to prioritize workload and time effectively
- Fluent in English
