Kleinfelder is seeking a Project Controls Manager to join our Northeast Utilities Team to support effective execution of our long-term business development plan.
This position will be based at a Client facility in New York City or lower Hudson Valley.
Projects will be focused on the Capital improvement and construction of Electrical Substation/Transmission/Distribution, Natural Gas Transmission and Distribution, Environmental Remediation, and Facilities elements.
The prime function and basic objective of this position is to manage and oversee project controls for these engineering and construction projects. The Project Controls Manager should have the ability to effectively implement and rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, perform a variety of tasks, and lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Strong leadership, communication and teamwork skills are required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
12+ years documented work experience in project controls in a construction environment for major multi-million dollar projects. Gas & Electric Utility cost loaded scheduling experience is preferred. Candidates should be fully trained in the construction scheduling software Oracle Primavera P6 Scheduling, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project.
ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate should have Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Civil preferred) or Construction Management.
CERTIFICATIONS:
Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred.
