JOB DESCRIPTION:

Dura is searching for a Software Quality Engineer with a strong understanding of the ASPICE and ISO 26262 Automotive Software development process. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing embedded software as well as general automotive development and launch experience. The position will involve interfacing with a variety of groups including software engineering, systems engineering, functional safety engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and manufacturing, as well as customers and suppliers / technical partners. The job responsibilities of the Software Quality Engineer are but not limited to the following:

  1. Developing the Software Quality Plan.
  2. Software Quality Reviews.
  3. Ensuring that internally develop requirements satisfy the customer requirements.
  4. Ensuring that the detailed design meets internal and customer requirements.
  5. Ensuring that unit and integration tests
  6. Ensuring that the software validation testing is adequate to ensure compliance to requirements.
  7. Ensuring that the proper level of traceability exists between customer, internal requirements and test requirements
  8. Tracking and reporting software quality metrics.
  9. Assisting in preparing and validating the contents of software delivery documentation.
  10. Ensuring that the software development and testing processes are being followed by performing periodic audits
  11. Assisting in entering requirements into the DOORS database
  12. Tracking and reporting software anomalies.
  13. Participate in software design reviews.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  1. B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
  2. 5+ years of software development/software quality experience.
  3. Working knowledge of the ASPICE and ISO 26262 software development process.
  4. Generate Software Quality Plans.
  5. Ability to interpret OEM functional, diagnostic and testing requirements
  6. Strong “hands-on” electrical systems and software testing experience.
  7. Understanding of safety critical systems design.
  8. Working knowledge of ISO 26262 Functional Safety requirements.
  9. Experience with issue tracking software (JIRA)
  10. Experience with IBM Rational DOORS
  11. Understanding of configuration management tools.
  12. Experience with HIL testing.
