Markon Solutions is actively seeking a Mechanical Engineer to provide general engineering and related consulting services in concert with our government client’s mission of supporting operations and maintenance objectives for U.S. Embassies and diplomatic missions. These services will support projects that involve on-going operations, comprehensive renovations, as well as construction of new facilities at any number of locations throughout the world. Mechanical Engineer with ABET accredited Mechanical Engineering degree required. An Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate required, but a Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred. Minimum of 3 years’ experience required on construction projects of similar scope and value to the project.
Technical expertise associated with design and selection of equipment for HVAC and related control systems including but not limited to central chilled water plants, central air distribution systems, primary/secondary pumping systems, central hot water heating and distribution systems and building automation and controls.
Representation of the Facility Project program as a member of a working group that is involved with analyzing the relevance of HVAC system designs and arrangements within the NEC design and construction program.
Project management support for the oversight and supervision of various construction trades involved with the procurement and replacement of HVAC systems in facilities owned and/or leased by Department of State worldwide.
Provide general engineering and related consulting services to the government client in concert with their mission of supporting operations and maintenance objectives for U.S. Embassies and diplomatic missions. These services will support projects that involve on-going operations, comprehensive renovations, as well as construction of new facilities at any number of locations throughout the world and attend meetings at various State Department Annex facilities upon request. Visits may require overseas travel at the request of the designated representative.
